An in-depth look at QuickDebit released as part of the v1.1.0 update.

Yesterday we released v1.1.0, the primary reason for doing so was to push QuickDebit live, our new remote widget for initiating the payment process for your customers, right from your very own website.

QuickDebit is a simple few lines of code, that once installed onto your site, will produce a URL link that you can pass your customers through to. On their way to GoCardless, Directli will capture the details and set-up the payment request for them to complete payment to you.

As Directli currently requires that your customer details be 'pre-loaded' manually into the system (More on that coming soon - we've got pretty nifty bulk tools in development) QuickDebit now means that your existing customer database can be organically fed into Directli for Direct Debit processing as and when customers are required to pay you.

QuickDebit requires an API key and Secret 'Salt' in order to work. This keeps things secure and ensures that random payments cannot be setup! Your API key and Salt are generated on a 'per-brand' basis so you can still take advantage of the multi-brand capabilities within Directli when sending your customer through to pay. API Keys can be generated within your Merchant Management System, by logging in, navigating to Merchant Settings > API Keys and clicking 'Generate API Keys'.

Please note: because our Lite plan limits the number of customers you can manage, QuickDebit is only available to our 'Standard Plan' members.
